3.4 Energy saving mode
The cooling unit with multicontroller is equipped with an energy saving
mode. For this purpose, the device has a second temperature sensor
(TS2) that is installed outside the cooling unit in order to monitor the
switch cabinet interior temperature.
1) If the cooling unit is not in active cooling mode for 30 minutes
(condition as supplied), energy saving mode is activated. This is
indicated with ‚En' in the display.
2) The energy saving mode is interrupted by a cooling prompt
(switch cabinet interior temperature above the temperature set-
point, which means the cooling unit is in active cooling mode).
Cooling mode is maintained until the temperature setpoint
(minus hysteresis) has been reached. The unit resumes energy
saving mode after an additional 30 minutes.
3) If the temperature setpoint (minus hysteresis) on the external
temperature sensor is undercut during energy saving mode,
the internal fan is switched off. If the temperature setpoint (plus
hysteresis) on the external temperature sensor is exceeded, the
internal fan is switched on again.
4) If no error has occurred in the unit, the fault signalling output of
the unit is closed in energy saving mode (no error).
3.5 Service interface
The ECoolPLANT 2.X confi guration software (including USB driver
software) can be used to make confi gurations by means of a USB
adapter (art. no. 18310000004) via the service interface. The functions
are described operating manual / software help guide.
