9. Setup – Gateway
a) Connecting to power
• Only use the supplied power adapter and cable.
• Connect the micro USB plug of the cable to the corresponding
socket on the gateway and the USB-A plug to the power
adapter. Connect the power adapter to a suitable wall outlet.
b) Placement
• Place the gateway on an even and dry surface. Stay within
the max. transmission distances (refer to chapter 16. Technical
data on page 60 for details).
Note that walls, metal objects and devices using electrical
frequencies can affect signal strength. Keep these factors
in mind when deciding on suitable places for gateway and
sensors.
• You have the option of wall-mounting the gateway. Use the slot
holes on the rear of the gateway to wall-mount it. Attention!
Have it mounted by a professional if you are not familiar with
the installation process and the dangers involved.
