e) Control via the Touchscreen Display
Before you fly your model, you should first familiarize yourself with the control possibilities open to you and thereby be
able to fly safely. The indoor model helicopter is controlled either with the touchscreen display or via the motion
sensors in the Apple® iPad, Apple® iPhone or Apple® iPod touch.
We recommend using the touchscreen display for first test flights.
Pitch Function
With the pitch function you can control the flying height of the helicopter (see figure 9). For control, use the control area
for rotor speed (also see figure 5, item 9). For this, move the left thumb from the bottom position up and back. Since the
angles of attack of the rotor blades are not modifiable, setting the flying height is effected via a common speed
modification of the two rotors.
If the control area is in the lower position, the motors and the rotors stop. If you push the control area upwards, the
rotors start up and increase their speed according to the position of the lever. If the control area is in the centre
position, the helicopter should hover at a stable height.
