8. Commissioning
Before commissioning, check whether the rated voltage and supply frequency on
the type label match the specifications of your power supply.
Always use a ground-fault circuit interrupter (RCD) with a maximum release current
of 30 mA.
The red electronic signal indicator (A1-4) lights up briefly when plugging the plug into the
power socket, indicating that the device is ready for commissioning.
Adjusting the speed:
The speed can be preselected and continuously adjusted via the adjusting wheel (A1-9).
Positions 1–6 correspond approximately to the following idle speeds:
1 = 820 rpm
2 = 1,380 rpm
3 = 1,760 rpm
VTC Electronics enable optimal processing of materials and an almost constant speed,
even under heavy strain.
We recommend to do a test run in order to determine the optimum speed.
In heavily contaminated environments, always apply the fine dust protective cap (A5)
or the Dust Prevent System (A2-1).
Use the Dust Prevent System (A2-1) to protect the machine against coarse grinding
dust and metal particles. We recommend the fine dust protective cap (A5) for fine dust.
The machine heats up more quickly with the fine dust protective cap (A5) attached.
The electronics protect the machine against overheating.
Dust Prevent System:
Removal: See figure A3. To remove the Dust Prevent System (A2-1), first unscrew the re-
taining screw (A3-1) from the underside with a Torx screwdriver. Then you can slide the Dust
Prevent System over the cable and remove it from above.
Attachment: Slide the Dust Prevent System (A2-1) over the cable up to the ventilation slots
of the machine. Then fix it in place on the underside with the retaining screw.
Fine dust protection cap:
Attachment: See figure A4/A5. Apply fine dust protection cap as shown.
Removal: Lift the fine dust protection cap slightly at the upper edges and remove it from
below.
4 = 2,260 rpm
5 = 2,760 rpm
6 = 3,000 rpm
