STARTING/STOPPING THE EDGER
To start (Fig. 10)
1. Press the lock-off button down and
hold it in that position. Depress the
trigger to turn on the edger. Release
the lock-off button and continue to
squeeze the trigger for continued
operation.
2. The rotational speed of the tool is
controlled with the variable-speed trigger. More pressure on the trigger results
in higher speed; less pressure on the trigger results in lower speed. Adjust the
speed to suit the task at hand.
Speed-Adjustment Function (Fig. 10)
The edger has two speed ranges. Position "1" is for low speeds; Position "2" is for
higher speeds. Push or pull the high/low-speed switch to choose the suitable speed
range during operation.
To stop
Release the trigger to stop the edger.
NOTICE: The motor runs only when the lock-off button and trigger are both pressed.
WARNING:
and after finishing work.
OPERATING TIPS
◾
Hold and guide the edger so that the blade is vertical.
◾
Operate at no more than a normal walking pace.
◾
Cut at a steady pace. If the blade begins to bog down, you are edging too quickly;
slow your pace.
◾
Do not force the blade into the ground. Light contact of the blade against the
sidewalk edge, curb, etc., is acceptable and will not damage the edger.
◾
Always walk forward when cutting and move the edger forward. Do not pull the
edger towards you.
Always remove the battery pack from the edger during work breaks
