DANGER
Suitable measures have to be taken so that
the maximum operating temperatures and
pressures are not exceeded.
2.3 Installation, initial operation, maintenance
WARNING
Danger to life
Improper installation may lead to extensive in-
juries to persons and damage to property.
For this reason:
Installation, initial operation and maintenance
must only be carried out by qualified trades-
men.
(VDE, EN 12975 & DIN 4807).

2.4 Notes regarding installation
ATTENTION
A copper brazed stainless steel plate heat ex-
changer is part of the fresh water station.
Please observe the document "Demands
on potable water when using Oventrop fresh
water and dwelling stations" at www.oven-
trop.com.
The specifying engineer and the user of the
system are responsible to consider sub-
stances in the water and factors influencing
corrosion and the formation of stones in the
system and to evaluate them for the appropri-
ate application.
ATTENTION
The installation of a heated potable water sys-
tem must be carried out in accordance with
the valid standards, approved rules of tech-
nology and local regulations
Especially when operating a circulation sys-
tem, the hygiene regulations according to the
DVGW work sheet W551 must be observed
To guarantee a perfect function of the fresh water
station, the following notes must be observed:
– The pipework of the primary circuit should be
connected at the highest, lateral nipple of the
buffer storage cylinder.
– The pipework of the primary circuit should be
as short as possible to guarantee a quick heat-
ing up of the heating exchanger when drawing
off water.
– Stations with copper brazed heat exchanger:
Brazed copper is used in the heat exchanger of
the fresh water station. For this reason, do not
use steel pipes in the direction of flow behind
the fresh water station as dissolved copper ions
can cause pitting of steel.
– The safety valve in the potable water circuit
(secondary circuit) must be connected to a dis-
charging pipe taking into account valid stan-
dards.

2.5 Spare parts

WARNING
Risk of injury
Wrong or faulty spare parts may not only lead
to damages, malfunctions or a total loss of
power but also impair safety.
For this reason:
– Only use original spare parts of the manu-
facturer.
Spare parts are available from authorised dealers
2.6 Operating instructions of integral compo-
nents
Apart from the overall operating instructions, the
below mentioned operating instructions of the in-
tegral components should be observed. Notes in-
cluded in these instructions – especially the safety
notes – must be observed
• Operating instructions pump
• Operating instructions controller
• Operating and installation instructions buffer stor-
age cylinder (not supplied)
