The DC/DC converter operates at a switching frequency of from
approx. 10 kHz to approx. 60 kHz (according to output voltage)
and is protected against overload and short-circuit (in-plug 2 A
quick-blow fuse). The efficiency is close to 90%.
The maximum output current is 1200 mA as for 12 V operation.
To prevent damage to the unit itself or to the battery
system connected to the input or to the connected
load, avoid reversing the polarity of the connecting
cables, i.e. never reverse "+" and "-".

a) Connection, putting into operation
Connect the adapter to the 12 V DC or 24 V DC battery system.
When connecting/operating the connected battery system, pay at-
tention to the manufacturer's instructions. The operating time of
the converter is ultimately determined by the charge condition, age
and maintenance of the battery system (acid level with lead-acid
batteries, care of terminals). Also note that at low ambient tempera-
tures, even with "new" batteries, a loss of capacity should be
reckoned with (at 0°C, approx. -25%).
The converter itself is to be mounted/placed onto an inflammable
surface. To guarantee sufficient circulation of air (cooling), maintain
a safety distance of at least 100 mm. To avoid any build-up of heat,
never cover the ventilation slots/cooling fins.
