Dear Customer,
with this Portable Equipment Vehicle Adapter you have acquired a
switching DC power supply designed to the latest technological
standards.
The unit is EMC-tested and therefore meets the requirements of
applicable national and European guidelines. Conformance to the-
se has been proven; the relevant statements and documents are
lodged with the manufacturer.
To maintain this condition and to guarantee safe operation, the
user must observe these operating instructions without fail.

Authorised use:

Conversion of a 12 V voltage (10.5 to 14.4V) from a 12 V DC bat-
tery supply into a selectable 1.5, 3.0, 4.5, 6.0, 7.0 or 9.0 V DC sup-
ply for low-voltage equipment/loads requiring the corresponding
nominal voltage with a maximum current consumption of 1.2 A (=
1200 mA).
Conversion of a 24 V voltage (21 to 28.8V) from a 24 V DC battery
supply into a 1.5 - 12 V DC supply for low-voltage equipment/loads
requiring the corresponding nominal voltage with a maximum cur-
rent consumption of 1200 mA (=1.2 A).
Operation with AC voltages is not permitted.
Operation of the Portable Equipment Vehicle Adapter in the open
or in damp areas is not permitted.
Any use other than as described above will lead to damage to the
unit. Moreover, this can be accompanied by hazards, such as for
example short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the pro-
duct may be opened, modified or converted. The safety instruc-
tions are to be followed without fail.
