Note: The AquaLink Z4 Controller works with a single
variable-speed pump, so the dip switch settings
will use the factory default settings of OFF for
all four switches. See Figure 5B.
8.
Connect the other end of the cable to an RS-485
connector on the AquaLink
interface board), matching wire colors with
connector positions, as described in Step 3.
9.

operation of the controller.
10. Refer to the appropriate manual to operate the

or AquaLink Z4 Controller Owner's Manual,
H0386600.

ePump Dip Switch Settings
As shown in
Figures 4, 5A and 5B,
dip switch is located at the rear of the ePump. This dip
switch serves two (2) functions: it selects the pump
address, and it determines what type of controller will
be used with the pump.
The tables below show the dip
switch
settings.

Pressure Testing
All Jandy Pro Series model ePumps come with an
additional disposable o-ring for pressure testing. This is
the blue pressure test o-ring. See Figures 6 and 7.
CAUTION
Do not open the pump lid before pressure testing,
because the blue pressure test o-ring may fall out.
If this happens, you will need to place it back on the
lid.
If you have not opened the pump lid, skip to Section
3.5, Conducting Pressure Test.
