Operation
a) Installation and connection
• If desired, attach the provided rubber feet to the bottom of the device. Please be reminded
that rubber feet can leave marks on sensitive surfaces.
• Switch off all devices to be connected before the cables are connected.
• Connect the HDMI outputs of your playback devices (e.g. DVD player, media box) to the
HDMI IN1, IN2 and IN3 sockets (9, 10, 11).
• Connect the HDMI OUT socket (12) to your output device (e.g. TV or projector).
• Connect the IR extension cable to the IR socket (1). In order to connect the IR receiver at
the end of the extension cable permanently, attach the provided double-sided, self-adhesive
foam piece to the smooth bottom and then to a suitable surface. The installation location of
the IR receiver must allow for unobstructed transmission of the remote control signal. Please
note that the self-adhesive foam can leave marks when removed in the future.
• After having connected all cables, turn on your devices.
In order to guarantee interference-free transmission, the maximum length of the
standard HDMI cable (AWG 26) used must not exceed 6 meters.
b) Remote control
• Carefully pull the protective foil from the battery
compartment on the bottom of the remote control. That will
activate the operation of the remote control. Reinsert the
foil into the battery compartment when not using the remote
control for a longer period of time.
• Use the remote control buttons for the following functions:
Switch the device on/off, activate/deactivate the auto
function, and select HDMI inputs.
• Always point the IR remote control sensor at the IR receiver. Objects located between the
transmitter and the receiver, such as furniture, can obstruct the signal transmission. The
range of the remote control accounts for a max. of 6 meters.
• The battery can last for up to one year. It depends on different factors, such as battery quality,
ambient conditions, and frequency of use.
• When the remote control signal starts to get weaker, e.g. when signals are transmitted
irregularly or not at all, the battery must be replaced. Open the battery compartment as
indicated on the back side of the remote control and replace the exhausted CR2025 3V
button cell by a new battery of equivalent type.
