Shooting Mode Buttons
While in shooting mode, use these buttons for quick access to some of the more
commonly used features.

# button (Flash Pop-up)
Opens the flash. The flash does not fire when the flash is closed.

[ button (AE Lock/Custom)
Locks the exposure. Each time you press the button, AE lock is alternately engaged and
canceled.
In addition, frequently used functions can be assigned to the custom button.

u button (Monitor/Viewfinder)
This toggles between the monitor and viewfinder.

DISP./GUIDE button
Press the DISP./GUIDE button repeatedly to display composition lines and histogram.
Select a menu item, and press the DISP./GUIDE button to display an explanation of
its function.

QUICK VIEW button
Press this button once to quickly display the last image taken.

#button (Flash Mode)
Select from 5 flash modes - Auto, Red-eye reduction, Fill-in flash, Red-eye Fill-in flash,
or Flash off.

Z button (OK/MENU)
Press this button to display camera menu options (described on next pages). This
button is also used to confirm selections.
