Disconnect the machine from the electrical supply and gas supply (if applicable) and ensure that power cannot be switched on again
in error.
Remove the left and right screws from the machine lid.
Pull the lid slightly forward, push it back and unhook it from the connection strip.
Remove the lid.
Install the EZL 235 electronic with the 4 spacers in the pre-existing holes on the side of the module holder; see Fig. 1, Pos. 1, Pos. 2.
Lay wiring harness 51X-52X-3X3/4 (module 7 EZL 235
diagram; see Fig. 2, Pos. 2a bzw. Fig. 3, Pos. 2a
Secure terminal strip 5X3-4 to the module holder using the 2.9x19 screws; see Fig. 1, Pos. 3.
Arrange and connect the wiring harnesses:
Warning!
The load and control current wiring harnesses should be separated from one another to prevent noise in the control circuit
(electromagnetic tolerance).
Extra wiring should be laid in the opposite direction to avoid antenna-like behavior.
Wiring module 7 (EZL 235) as first multifunction module:
Disconnect the plug from ELP 235
Connect load current wiring harness 20X-41X from module 7 (flow meter) EZL 235 ST10 to ELP 235
Connect control current wiring harness N1Q_ST112, N1Q_ST11 from module 7 (flow meter) EZL 235
see Fig. 2, Pos. 2c.
Connect coded plug MFM 1-4-5 to module 7 (flow meter) EZL 235
Connect ELZ 235 electronic module 7 in accordance with the wiring diagram.
Wiring module 7 (EZL 235) as 2nd/3rd multifunction module:
Disconnect the plug from EZL 235
Connect load current wiring harness 20X-41X from module 7 (flow meter) EZL 235 ST10 zur EZL 235
Connect control current wiring harness N1Q_ST112, N1Q_ST11 from module 7 (flow meter) EZL 235
see Fig. 3, Pos. 2c.
Connect coded plug MFM 1-4-5 to module 7 (flow meter) EZL 235
Connect ELZ 235 electronic module 7 in accordance with the wiring diagram.
Connect the flow meter and register module 7:
Connect the flow meter to terminal strip 5X3-4 in accordance with the wiring diagram.
Service Settings Register module EZL with coding 7 Register module? OK Diskette symbol to save the registration.
Set the activation for the appropriate flow meter (number 1, in this example) via service mode to activate the control.

Back up data via service mode.
Service Backup Backup data for EW Overwrite existing data? Diskette symbol to overwrite EW data.
To quit service mode, switch off the machine.
Carry out a functional check, e.g., by starting a wash program. This program should take in water via the appropriate flow meter. If no
fault message appears in the display, then the flow meter is functioning correctly.
Finish up:
Re-install the machine lid.
Carry out a safety check.
Reconnect the machine to the electrical and gas supplies and switch it on.
