Advantages of FASST Systems (Futaba Advanced Spread Spectrum Technology):
• No crystals • No frequency channel selection
• Maximum protection against common channel inter-
ference
• Excellent interference signal suppression
• Large bandwidth - added security
• Rapid frequency hopping
• High range > 2000 metre
*Real-Time-Response
The response time (from operating the joystick
to servo response) of the FASST system is
2x faster than previous 2.4 GHz systems. The
result is quasi real time response - a distinctly
more direct control experience.
Every 7/8 ms the transmitter and receiver switch
synchronously from channel to channel. The
short utilisation time ensures there are no signal
conflicts or interruptions while also effectively
suppressing interference.
The Aerial Diversity system continuously checks
the signal level at both aerial inputs and swit-
ches over in a split second to the stronger signal
with no transition period.
Receiver R 6108SB 2.4 GHz FASST
Full range 8/18-channel 2.4 GHz FASST receiver, slimline and lightweight
for models with narrow fuselage/hull. It features a serial bus (S-BUS) sy-
stem for up to 18 channels, making it the perfect receiver for large-scale
model aircraft. 8 conventional analogue or digital servos can be connected
to the outputs 1...8. The R 6108SB receiver has a switch to select between
digital and analogue servos.
This makes the signal pulse for digital servos at the outputs 1-6 even
faster, resulting in even shorter response time.
New: S-BUS output
Up to 18 of the new, programmable S-BUS servos or other S-BUS com-
ponents such as battery switch PSS2018, HC-3 Xtreme, gyro GY 520,
etc. can be connected in series to this output. Digital addressing means
the servo reacts only to information containing the correct servo address.
Compatible with 2.4 GHz FASST RF modules TM-8, TM-10, TM-14 and
FASST transmitters as from 8 channel + Multi mode.

Easy Link - Easy pairing
For identification purposes, a code with more
than 130 million variations is sent and stored in
the receiver, thus permanently pairing it to the
transmitter. Regardless of which other trans-
mitters log on to the ISM band, the receiver will
only accept signals from the paired transmitter.
Customized IC Chip
Customer-specific IC chips, developed by
Futaba specially for RC technology applications,
are used in FASST technology. They effectively
underpin the high quality and failsafe standard.
FASST receivers constantly scan the input si-
gnal and a special software technology automa-
tically corrects any data errors that may occur.
The new S-BUS system allows for simpler and
more clearly arranged wiring in the model.
Receiver Pairing
The individual code number of the transmitter (130 million codes) is auto-
matically stored in the receiver by pressing the „Link/Mode" button. With
this „pairing", the receiver now only responds to the signals of the linked
transmitter.
• Place the transmitter and receiver close together (approx. 0.5 m)
•
Switch on transmitter
•
Switch on receiver power supply
•
Press and hold the Link/Mode but-
ton on the receiver for at least 1 second and
then release in order to „pair" the receiver to
the transmitter.
•
The green LED lighting indicates that receiver pairing has been
completed successfully.
This fixed pairing or allocation of the transmitter to the receiver creates
optimum prerequisites for even more efficient suppression of interference
than conventional systems as a digital filter only filters out the control pul-
ses of the paired transmitter. This configuration effectively suppresses
interference and the influence of other transmitters.
Several receivers can be „paired" to the same module or transmitter. If
receivers are to be paired to another module, the Link/Mode button must
be pressed again after switching on.
