12. MAINTENANCE

For maintenance, use only the specified spare
par ts. The manufacturer cannot be held
responsible for any accidents occurring after a
repair carried out outside of his after sales
department or of approved repairers.
Battery replacement
For your safety never open the multimeter before
disconnecting it for any source of electricity.
I Remove the captive screw attaching the
battery compartment cover and open the cover.
I Replace the spent 9 V battery in compliance
with the polarity.
I Close the compartment cover and screw down
the screw in the back of the unit.
Storage:
If the multimeter is not used for more than 60
days, remove the batteries and store them
separately.
Cleaning
I The device must be disconneted from any
source of electricity.
I To clean it, use a cloth dipped in soapy water.
Rinse with a damp cloth.
Then dry quickly with a cloth or using pulsed air.
Calibration
It is essential that all measuring instruments
are regulary calibrated.
For checking and calibration of your instrument,
please contact our accredited laboratories (list
on request) or the Chauvin-Arnoux subsidiary
or Agent in your country.
Repairs
For all repairs before or after expiry of warranty,
please return the device to your distributor.
