10 Draai alle bouten en moeren overeenkomstig tabel vast.
Raadpleeg voor demontage en montage van voertuig onderdelen
het werkplaats handboek.
Raadpleeg voor montage en bevestigingsmiddelen de schets.
BELANGRIJK:
* Voor eventueel noodzakelijke aanpassing(en) "van het voertuig" dient
men de dealer te raadplegen.
* Indien op de bevestigingspunten een bitumen of anti-dreunlaag aanwe-
zig is, dient deze verwijderd te worden.
* Voor de max. toegestane massa, welke uw auto mag trekken, dient u uw
dealer te raadplegen.
* Bij het boren dient men er zorg voor te dragen, dat electriciteits-, rem- en
brandstofleidingen niet worden geraakt.
* Verwijder "indien aanwezig" de plastik dopjes uit de puntlasmoeren.
* Deze handleiding dient na montage bij de voertuigpapieren gevoegd te
worden.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS.
A.
(5 CYLINDER PETROL ENGINES)
1 Remove the bumper.
2 S40+V50: Saw a section out of the middle of the underside of the
bumper as shown in fig 1.
V50 R-Design:
2a Saw a section out of the middle of the underside of
the bumper as shown in fig 3.
3 Remove the anti-rumble material where the backplates are in contact.
4 Remove the exhaust suspension clamp (left and right), including the
reinforcement plate (right).
5 Drill holes A and B to 6 mm. See figure 2.
6 Enlarge holes A and B to 13 mm.
7 Using supports E and H, mark the point where the O and R holes
(may) need to be drilled through the heat shield.
8 Drill holes A and B to 6 mm. See figure 2.
9 Enlarge holes A and B to 13 mm.
10 For the S40 model: Position the supports E and H and attach them
at points O and R, then fit the whole thing without fully tightening.
See diagram. Position the supports C and attach them at points D
and E, then fit the whole thing without fully tightening. See diagram.
11 For the V50 model: Position the supports C and attach them at
points D and E, then fit the whole thing without fully tightening. See
diagram. Position the supports C and attach them at points D and E,
then fit the whole thing without fully tightening. See diagram.
12 Position support F and attach it at points G and H.
13 Fit the whole hand-tight. (at points of attachment N,O,P,Q,R and S )
14 Tighten all nuts and bolts to the torque indicated in the table.

the bumper as shown in fig 3.
3 Remove the anti-rumble material where the backplates are in contact.

at points G and T, then fit the whole thing without fully tightening. See
diagram. Position the supports H+I and attach them at points J and
U, then fit the whole thing without fully tightening. See diagram.
9 For the V50 model: Position the supports E and F and attach them
at points G and W, then fit the whole thing without fully tightening.
