Warning:
Safety & Electrical Connections
• This product is supplied with 1,5m
of 2-core electrical cable and a Euro
plug. For connection to the mains
supply use only 2-core cable (ref
HO5 RN-F). This has a minimum
copper cross-section of 1mm
Polycloroprene-Rubber insulation.
• A 30mA maximum Residual Current
Device (RCD) MUST be fitted to the
mains supply.
Start Up - First Use
Ensure the switch (4) is set to 'OFF' (Fig.2 item A).
Connect the GREEN POWER EVOLUTION with an extension
cable to the power supply.
Hold the GREEN POWER EVOLUTION by the handle and
(noting the above mentioned Safety Precautions) switch it on
to the "Heating" position (Fig.2 item B).
The device can take 45 seconds to reach operating
temperature.
To treat the weed, rest the nozzle on the ground, placing
it directly above the weed and hold in that position for 3
seconds.
Weeds are killed by the thermal shock. The fast temperature
rise bursts the cells of the plant and destroys the weed.
Repeat this procedure to treat other weeds around the
garden.
Keep the electrical cable well away from the heated nozzle.
Barbecue Lighting Function
The GREEN POWER EVOLUTION can be used to light charcoal
barbecues.
Always follow the barbecue manufacturer's instructions.
To light the charcoal, place it in the barbecue as usual
and position the nozzle within a few centimetres from the
charcoal. Make sure the device is suitably positioned and
stable and directed at the centre of the barbecue. Switch the
device on to the 'heating' position (Fig. 2 item B). Leave it in
the same position until the charcoal starts to glow. This may
take between 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on the
charcoal. When the charcoal is sufficiently hot, it will turn red
and flames may appear near the nozzle. This indicates that
the charcoal is lit.
Set the switch to the cooling position ( Fig2.itemC) for at least
30seconds. After this, switch off. Stop the device before
removing it from the barbecue. Allow the device to cool
down before putting it away (see next paragraph). Do not
let the hot parts of the device touch the power cable or other
flammable materials.

If the cooling phase is not carried out, it may damage the

at least 30 seconds.
After this time, move the switch to OFF (Fig.2 item A) to
switch off the GREEN POWER EVOLUTION.
Disconnect the device from the power supply.
Check the device is completely cold before storing it.
It can then be stored horizontally on the ground on its stand
(Fig.1 item 7) or hung to the wall by its hanging point (Fig.1
item 2).
The product can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild
detergent, but do not allow any water to enter the product.
