USING THE STEAM GENERATOR

Turning the steam generator on:
To turn the steam generator on, place the main switch "13" in the
"1" position (fig. 6). The display "11" shows 4 degrees of water
hardness, expressed in French degrees. Select the detected
value using the arrow keys "<" and ">" on the function selector
keypad "12" and press the central key to confirm. This activates
the steam boiler fill pump.
You can change the water hardness setting later, even while
the steam generator is functioning normally, if the water supply
connection has to be changed.
Press the two arrow keys "<" and ">" on the keypad "12" and
hold them down for 5 seconds. The screen for selecting water
hardness appears on the display "11".
Select the new value and press the central key to confirm.
Steam phase.
On completion of filling, water heating begins. The "Heating"
symbol appears on the display "11". The appliance is ready for
use when the steam ready indicator "4" on the control panel
comes on (fig. 6). The indicator "4" flashes when minimum op-
erating pressure is reached and remains on steadily when maxi-
mum operating pressure is reached. You are recommended to
wait until maximum pressure has been reached before starting
work. The "Steam ready" symbol appears on the display.
To dispense steam, pull in the lever "16" on the hand grip (fig.
7). The "Steam dispensing" symbol appears on the display.
The quantity of steam dispensed can be regulated using the
steam flow regulator "7" on the control panel.
Turn anti-clockwise: Maximum flow
Turn clockwise: Minimum flow. (Fig. 8).
If the water in the fill tank runs out, low level indicator "2" on
the appliance's control panel lights. The "No water" symbol
appears on the display.
Release pressure in the boiler by operating the steam dispens-
ing lever "16" with the main switch in the "1" position.
Filling the detergent solution circuit.

Turn the main switch to the "2" position. Press the detergent
solution dispensing button "14" on the hand grip.
Detergent solution is only dispensed when the appliance is
in "Steam ready" status (indicator "4" on the control panel lit).
The detergent solution flow rate can be regulated using the
regulator knob "8" on the appliance's control panel.
Turn anti-clockwise: Maximum flow
Turn clockwise: Minimum flow. (Fig. 8).
To dispense detergent solution, press the button "14" on the
hand grip with the main switch "13" in the "2" position. The
"Steam dispensing" and "Detergent dispensing" symbols both
appear on the display.
Press the button until the appliance starts dispensing the de-
tergent solution, then press only at intervals of a few seconds
to avoid jeopardising the efficiency of the steam.
If the detergent solution runs out, indicator "3" lights on the
control panel.
Filling the water circuit.
To dispense clean water, press the button "15" on the hand
grip with the main switch "13" in the "1" position. The "Water"
symbol appears on the display.
The water flow rate can be regulated using the regulator knob
"9" on the appliance's control panel.
Turn anti-clockwise: Maximum flow
Turn clockwise: Minimum flow. (Fig. 8).
If the water in the tank runs out, low level indicator "2" on the
appliance's control panel lights.
Combined steam - detergent solution phase.
Choose the most suitable accessories from those supplied:
- Short curved lance, only to be used with the special brush
provided. (Fig. 9)
- Long straight lance, only to be used with the special brush
provided. (Fig. 10).

Danger!
Only change accessories with all the switches on the hand grip
in the off position.
Never change the accessories while the appliance is dispensing
steam. Danger of burns.

Warning!
Use original accessories only to ensure maximum quality and
safety. Failure to use original accessories absolves the manu-
facturer of all liability.
Function symbols and warnings on the display.
The steam generator's main functions are shown on the display
"11" on the control panel. (Fig. 6).
The following symbols are displayed during normal functioning:
- In "Stand by", the "Steam ready" symbol alternates with the
"Resin Regeneration" symbol and the status percentage.
- When hand grip controls are activated, the corresponding
function symbols appear:
- Steam dispensing.
- Steam dispensing with Detergent solution dispensing.
- Steam dispensing with Water dispensing.
- Steam dispensing with Detergent solution dispensing and
Water dispensing.
Displaying water softening resin status .
- With the main switch "13" in the 1 position and the switches on
the lance off, resin regeneration status is displayed along with
- 16 -
