An unearthed electrical installation absolves
the manufacturer of all liability for damage.
- The appliance is electrically disconnected
only when unplugged from the mains socket.
- The following fundamental rules must be
observed when using any electrical appli-
ance:
• do not touch the appliance with wet hands
or feet;
• do not use the appliance while in bare feet
or with unsuitable clothing;
• do not pull the power cable or the appli-
ance itself to unplug the plug from the mains
socket.
- The appliance is not intended for use by
children, adolescents, persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
under the influence of alcohol or lacking
experience and knowledge.
Children must be supervised to make sure
they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not allow people to enter the operating
area of the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance in the rain.
- Never obstruct ventilation and heat disper-
sion slits.
- In the event of faults and/or malfunctions
in the appliance, do not use it or tamper with
it. Contact an authorised technical service
centre.
- Do not use the appliance if the power cable
is damaged. The cable must be replaced by
an authorised technical service centre only.
- Do not clean the appliance by spraying it

- Use suitable personal protection (gloves,
face masks, etc.).
- Use water with a hardness of between 5°
and 15° TH.
Proper use:
The appliance is designed exclusively for cleaning floors, car-
pets, textiles, vehicles and washable surfaces in general using
standard or optional accessories provided by the manufacturer
and in environments protected from rain, snow, etc. All other
uses are considered improper and unreasonable.
Examples of unreasonable and/or improper use include:
− Using the steam generator in the rain.
− Cleaning surfaces not suitable for treatment with high tem-
perature steam.
− Using the appliance to clean animals, people, etc.
− Changing accessories while dispensing steam.
− Moving the appliance by pulling the electric cable.
− Using the appliance with a damaged power cable.
− Cleaning the appliance by spraying it with water.
− Cleaning the appliance while it is plugged into the mains
electricity supply.
− Using the appliance with wet hands and/or feet.
− Leaving the appliance unsupervised while it is functioning.
− Using the appliance without its protective parts (panels,
grilles).
− Obstructing ventilation and heat dispersion slits.
Use original accessories only to ensure maximum quality and
safety. Failure to use original accessories absolves the manu-
facturer of all liability.
PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
Unpacking:
After unpacking the appliance, make sure it is intact.
If in doubt, do not use the steam generator and contact your
dealer. Packaging elements (plastic bags, boxes, nails, etc.)
must not be left within reach of children as they are potential
hazards and must be disposed of or stored in compliance with
national environmental protection standards.
Fitting parts supplied detached from the appliance.
The fundamental parts and safety devices of the appliance are
assembled by the manufacturer. A number of secondary parts
may be supplied detached.
These must be fitted by the user following the assembly in-
structions.

On receipt of the product, make sure it has a data plate. If this is
not the case, notify the manufacturer and/or dealer immediately.
