be performed by the user. All other work is prohibited.
!
Danger!
Before performing any maintenance on the steam generator,
disconnect it from the mains electricity supply by unplugging it
from the socket.
The appliance is electrically disconnected only when unplugged
from the mains socket.
After completing maintenance, before reconnecting the steam
generator to the mains electricity supply, make sure the protec-
tive panels are replaced correctly and secured with screws.
Cleaning the appliance.
Do not clean the appliance by spraying it with water. Use a
damp cloth only.
Clean all the accessories thoroughly after use.
Cleaning the filters.
Check the state of the outlet filters of the water and detergent
solution tanks and boiler regularly. Clean them and remove all
impurities. If very dirty, replace them. (Fig. 11).
Regenerating water softening resins.
The steam generator is fitted with a water treatment system to
soften hard water.
The water softening system needs maintenance if the indicator
"5" on the control panel lights. (Fig. 6). The "Resin regeneration"
symbol appears on the display.
Resin regeneration intervals depend on the hardness of the
water supply as selected when the steam generator is started
up, and in particular:
0 to 10 °Fr: 6000 litres of softened water are available.
11 to 20 °Fr: 3000 litres of softened water are available.
21 to 30 °Fr: 1950 litres of softened water are available.
English
over 30 °Fr: 1200 litres of softened water are available.
If the indicator "5" comes on, switch the appliance off and dis-
connect it from the mains power and water supplies. Remove
the softening unit from its seat and disconnect the hoses at the
quick couplings. (Fig. 12)
To regenerate the resin, connect the softening unit to the regen-
eration kit available as an optional accessory.
Once the resin has been regenerated, replace the softening unit
in its seat, reconnect the water hoses and restore the steam
generator to normal functioning using the keypad "12":
- press and hold the central key for 10 seconds.
The steam generator automatically starts filling the softener
circuit. The "Wait" symbol appears on display "11".
When the circuit is full, the steam generator is ready to start
filling the boiler with water and heating it.

of work.
To show the hours of operation on display "11", press the "<"
and ">" keys with the main switch in the "1" position and the
switches on the hand grip off.
The boiler must be descaled by an authorised service centre
only.
During descaling, the appliance will be retained by the service
centre.
During maintenance and/or repairs, use original spare
parts only as these guarantee greater quality, reliable and
safety characteristics. Failure to use original spare parts
absolves the manufacturer of all liability.
Liability is transferred to the person making the repair.
Before storing the appliance for an extended period of time,
disconnect it from the mains electricity supply by unplugging it
from the power socket.
Clean out the boiler and protect all parts that might be damaged
by dust. Empty the water and detergent solution tanks through
the drain plugs. Rinse the detergent solution dispensing circuit
with clean water.
When resuming operation, make sure there are no cracks or
cuts in the detergent solution/steam hoses and accessories.
If you no longer want to use the steam generator, you should
make it inoperative by removing the power cable. In addition,
any parts that may represent a hazard, especially for children
who may use the decommissioned appliance to play with,
should be rendered harmless.
The steam generator is classified as WEEE type special waste
and is covered by the requisites of the latest environmental pro-
tection regulations. It must be disposed of separately from ordi-
nary waste in compliance with current legislation and standards.
Do not use components dismantled for scrapping as spare
