6.4- Spark plug
Clean the electrodes with a wire brush and reset the gap to 0.635 mm (0.25") as
necessary.
6.5- Others
Check for fuel leakage and loose fastenings and damage to major parts.
If any defects are found, make sure to have them repaired before operating the machine again.
6.6- Air cooling air
WARNING - The engine metal parts can burn your skin. Never touch the cylinder, muffler or
ignition plug etc. during operation or right after stopping the engine.
- Before starting the engine, check around the muffler and take off sawdust.
If you do not, it will cause the overheating and a fire.
For preventing the trouble, please keep clean around the muffler.
This engine is air-cooled. Dust clogging between the inlet port of the cooling air and cylinder fins
will cause overheating of the engine. Periodically check and clean the cylinder fins after removing
the air cleaner and the cylinder cover.
Important! When installing the cylinder cover, make sure that switch wires and grommets are
positioned correctly in place.
6.7- Transport
1. Switch off the engine when moving the product.
Caution: After stopping the engine, the metal parts (e.g. muffler) are still hot.
Never touch the hot parts. Allow them to cool down before handling the machine.
2. Check there is no leakage of fuel.
3. When transporting in a vehicle, be sure to firmly secure the product with no party extends outside
the vehicle to avoid a risk (e.g. fall, injury, damage; ...)
6.8- Cleaning
Clean plastic parts with a soft clean cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleansers (solvents or abrasive cleansers), or an abrasive sponge.
Do not put or immerse product in water or any other liquid.
Clean ventilation holes with a soft brush.
6.9- Storage
Clean the machine before storage.
Perform maintenance operations before storage.
For prolonged periods of storage, drain the gasoline from the tank, and lubricate the moving parts.
Product must be stored in a dry clean location, protective from frost and excessive heat. Always lock
up product and keep out of reach of children
6.10- Disposal
- Debris & remnants: do not throw with household rubbish or in the environment. Dispose of debris
& remnants in rubbish collection centres or seek advice from your local municipality.
- Machine: do not dispose with household garbage. Do not throw into the environment.
Dispose of the product in a collection centre for waste or seek advice from your local municipality.
Before disposal, drain fuel from the tank and dispose according to your local regulations.
- Proceed with disposal of remnants, machine, accessories and packaging according to local
regulations regarding the protection of the environment.
