Adjusting and using the parking brake

Upon delivery, the parking
brake is correctly adjusted ac-
cording to the configuration
status. If you have made chan-
ges to the wheel position, the
brake adjustment may need
to be changed.
To do this, remove both
screws on the upper side of
the respective brake and push
the complete unit onto the guide such that there is a dis-
tance of 10 mm between the brake bolt and the tire. Now
retighten both screws. The parking brake is now opti-
mally adjusted (photo 12).
Ensure that all screws are reinserted and tightened!
To use the parking brake, press the brake lever firmly to
the front until it noticeably clicks into place. The parking
brake is now engaged.
To release, pull the brake lever towards you and the par-
king brake is unlocked (photo 12).
Always ensure that the parking brake is locked by att-
empting to move the wheelchair.

Anti-tipping wheels | Anti-tilt aid

The anti-tipping wheels prevent the wheelchair from tip-
ping over backwards. They also serve to facilitate tilting
by an attendant. The height of the wheels can be adjus-
ted. Press both silver-colored buttons (front and rear) and
slide the tubing along the bracket up or down. By pulling
the anti-tilt aid up, you can pivot it upwards and away
(photo 13+14).

Operating the tilting aid

To maneuver around curbsto-
nes and over thresholds, step
firmly (with the left or right
foot) on the tilt aid while simul-
taneously pushing the push
handles down. This ensures
that lifting the front of the
wheelchair is easier. Ensure
that you are standing securely
(photo 15).

Folding up

The wheelchair can be folded up for easier transport or
for stowing in motor vehicles. To do this, first remove the
optional seat cushion as well as the footrests. Then hold
the side of the seat surface cushion (photo 16) and pull
the seat surface upwards (photo 17).
