Unpacking Your Tool

• Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all
its features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If
any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before
attempting to use this tool

Intended Use

Battery-operated level with digital display, for accurate, convenient levelling
tasks around the home, workshop and garden.

Before Use

Fitting a battery
1. Undo the Screw (11) and remove Battery Cover (12)
2. Connect the Battery Lead (9) to the Battery (10)
Note: Check correct polarity, do not force the connection.
3. Place battery in compartment, refit Battery Cover (12) and Screw (11)
Calibrating
See Fig. B
Note: This level has been calibrated in the factory. If you have any doubt
about the level's calibration, or if it has been dropped or knocked, you
should re-calibrate it using the following procedure:
1. Remove the Screw (11) and Battery Cover (12)
2. Lift the battery out but keep it connected to the Battery Lead (9)
3. Lift out the two Calibration Wires (8) and remove the cover from the
male wire
4. Push the male calibration wire into the female
5. Keeping both wires connected, push them to the back of the battery
compartment and replace the Battery (10)
6. Replace the Battery Cover (12) and Screw (11)
7. Switch the level ON by pressing the ON/OFF Button (2)
8. Place the Machined Flat Edge (1) of the level on a known flat, level
surface (X) and wait 3 seconds
9. Press the calibrate button (6). 'CAL 1' will be displayed When
the display (3) changes to display the angle, CAL 1 is complete
Rotate the level by 90 degrees clockwise and place against a
known flat, vertical surface (Y) with the display uppermost. (Fig. B)
Press the calibrate button (6). 'CAL 2' will be displayed
10. When the LCD Display (3) changes to display the angle, CAL 2 is
complete
11. Repeat this process for CAL 3, 4 and 5. Ensure the level is facing exactly
as shown in Fig. B at each stage
12. After 'CAL 5' the display will be set to '0.00' degrees, the level is now
calibrated
13. Remove the Battery Cover (12), and Battery (10). Disconnect the
Calibration Wires (8)
14. Replace the plastic cover on the male calibration wire
15. Re-fit the battery and cover. Your Level is now ready to use again
Note: If at any point during the calibration procedure the display shows
ERR, remove the battery, re-connect and restart the process from step 7.
