Tyre monitoring system TP-90
Item no. 1284224
Intended use
The tyre monitoring system is intended for monitoring and displaying of the tyre pressure and temperature
in motorcycles.
The system is only designed for connection to a 12 V direct current power supply and may only be installed
and operated in motorcycles equipped with this type of voltage supply.
Any use, other than that described above, may lead to damage to this product and involves other risks, such
as short circuit, fire, electric shock.
No part of the system may be modified or altered.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of companies and
products are the trademarks of the respective owners. All rights reserved.
Package contents
(see section "Includes" in the original instructions in English)
• Display with mount
• 2 sensors

• 3 lock nuts (1 for spare)
Explanation of symbols
This symbol indicates specific risks associated with handling, function or use.
The "hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety instructions
First, read the complete operating instructions carefully, as they contain important infor-
mation about proper operation of the device.
Damage due to failure to follow these operating instructions will void the warranty! We do
not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by incor-
rect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty will be void in
such cases!
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not
permitted. Individual parts may be damaged and can therefore impair the function or safety of
the vehicle.
• Only a 12 V direct current power supply may be used as a voltage source. Never connect the
product to a different power supply.
• Extra care should be taken when starting up the system. Therefore, please follow the operat-
ing instructions carefully.
• The system is intended only for additional monitoring of the tyre conditions; it does not absolve
the driver from practising due diligence. Make sure that driving safety is not affected at any
time.
• You should react immediately and stop when the system triggers an alarm. Continue driving
only after the problem has been reliably fixed.
• Check the tyre pressure at regular intervals with a suitable pressure gauge (e.g. at a petrol
station). The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages due to a faulty display.
• Check regularly that the sensors are screwed tightly onto the valves. To do this, spray soap
water over the valves with the sensors to detect a possible leak.
• Do not use damaged or inoperable sensors. This may lead to a loss of pressure in the tyres.
• Contact a specialist if you have any doubts about how the system functions, about the safety
aspects or how to connect the system.
• This product is not a toy; it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the potential
dangers involved when using electrical devices.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything for children.
• Also observe the additional safety instructions in each individual section of these instructions.
• If you are unsure about how to connect the product properly, or should you have any questions
that are not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical service or
consult a professional.
Installation and operation
Modifications to the vehicle, which are made necessary due to the installation of the
system or other components, must always be carried out in such a manner that neither
the traffic safety nor the design stability of the vehicle is impaired.
If you are in doubt about where to install the device, consult your motorcycle dealer.
You should secure each component in a place where it will not pose any risk to the driver
or the passenger.
When installing the sensors, pay attention that you do not damage the tyre valves and
their threads. The sensors must only be fastened hand-tight.
Lack of attention in traffic can lead to serious accidents. Hence, operating the tyre moni-
toring system must only be done while stationary, when you are not distracted by traffic.

• 2 dust proof covers
• Sensor tool for replacing the battery
• Spanner
• Operating instructions
Sensor installation
(see section "Sensor Installation" in the original instructions in English)
(1) Unscrew the valve cap.
Version 05/15
(2) Insert the dust proof cover into the valve stem.
(3) Screw on the lock nut.
(4) Place a special washer over the sensor teeth and screw the sensor onto the valve (F = front wheel sen-
sor, R = rear wheel sensor).
(5) Tighten up the lock nut to the sensor.
(6) Check air leakage by spraying soap water on the valve. Then push the dust proof cover sliding towards
the sensor.
We recommend to balance the tyres again after installing the sensor, as the weight of the sen-
sors may affect the balance of the tyres.
Display installation
Installation with the handlebar mount
(see section "Display Installation (clip on handlebar)" in the original instructions in English)
(1) Look for a suitable place to install the display.
(2) Open the clamping screws and place the display with the mount on the handlebar.
(3) Adjust the display and secure it with the clamping screws.
(4) Connect the connection cable to the power supply (black = ground, red = +12 V ignition).
(5) Switch the ignition on.
(6) The display turns on.
Installation with adhesive pad
(see section "Display Installation (stick on dash)" in the original instructions in English)
(1) Loosen the 4 Allen screws and remove the display from the mount.
(2) Clean/degrease the mounting surface and remove the protective film from the adhesive pad on the back
of the display. The adhesive pad may be supplied separately. If that is the case, attach it to the back of
the display.
(3) Stick the display to the mounting surface and connect the connection cable as described in the section
"Installation with the handlebar mount".
(4) Switch the ignition on. The display turns on.
Connect the power supply to a terminal that only operates on +12 V when the ignition is on, as
it could otherwise lead to the draining of the voltage supply battery.
Functional test after installation
(see section "Functional test after installation" in the original instructions in english)
The sensors have already been coded to the system at the factory. Therefore, coding is only required after
a sensor has been replaced.
The display switches off automatically after the engine has been turned off.
The display returns to normal brightness after approximately 30 seconds.
(1) At speeds of more than 20 km/h, the display shows the real time data of the tyres.
(2) The data of both tyres are displayed alternately every two seconds after the automatic registration of the
sensors.
Settings
(see section "Settings" in the original instructions in English)
(1) Press and hold the SET button for three seconds until you hear a beep indicating programming mode.
(2) Programming sequence overview:
Pressure unit (psi or bar)
Temperature unit (°C or °F)
Front tyre pressure
Rear tyre pressure
Alarm value for tyre temperature
Alarm value for low voltage warning
(3) Press the arrow buttons to select the desired pressure unit (psi or bar) and confirm your entry by press-
ing the SET button.
(4) Press the arrow buttons to select the desired temperature unit (°C or °F) and confirm your entry by
pressing the SET button.
(5) Press the arrow buttons to set the tyre pressure prescribed by the manufacturer for the front and rear
tyres and confirm your entry by pressing the SET button.
(6) Press the arrow buttons to set the alarm value for the tyre temperature and confirm your entry by press-
ing the SET button.
(7) Press the arrow buttons to set the alarm value for the low voltage warning and confirm your entry by
pressing the SET button.
(8) Press and hold the SET button for three seconds until you hear two beeps indicating that the data have
been saved successfully.
The tyre pressure alarm goes off when the tyre pressure is less than 70% or more than 130% of
the set pressure. In addition, the pressure alarm goes off when the tyre pressure is greater than
or equal to 4.5 bar.
The tyre temperature alarm goes off when the set value is exceeded.
