Setup and Installation

This unit must be installed by a professional electrician.

Pick the correct charging current

Homeowner and electrician should select correct charging current (16A, 20A,
24A or 32A) based on panel capacity and vehicle specification. Homeowner will
select the breaker rating in the ChargePoint app after installation. Electrician will:
❑ Install the correct 230V breaker (16A, 20A, 24A or 32A)

❑ Install new 30mA Type B residual current detection at the service panel
❑
❑ Ensure input wires are rated for the selected charging current

Choose an appropriate installation location

Ensure the homeowner has chosen an installation location that allows the
charging cable to easily reach the car's charging port.
❑ Ensure charging cable reaches car without any tension
❑
❑ Ensure installation is close to input wires
❑
❑ Install about 1m from the ground

Charging cable reaches car without any tension
