keep them to hand.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Read the instructions carefully before using your appliance for the first time and keep them to hand: the
manufacturer may not be held responsible for any inappropriate use.
• This product has been designed for domestic use only. Any commercial use, inappropriate use or failure to
comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the guarantee will not apply..
• Only use your kettle for boiling drinking water.
• Only plug the appliance into an earthed mains socket, or into an electrical extension lead with an integrated
earth connection. Check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate of the appliance corresponds to that of
the mains voltage. You are advised not to use an extension lead.
• Always place on a flat, stable, heat-resistant work surface.
Keep your kettle and the power cord away from any source of heat, wet or slippery surfaces or sharp edges.
• Your kettle must only be used with the lid locked in place and the base supplied with it.
• Do not place the kettle, the base, the power cord or the plug in water or any other liquid.
• Do not use the kettle when you have wet hands or bare feet.
• Take care not to place the kettle and its base on a hot surface, such as a hot plate, or to use it near a naked
flame.
• Immediately remove the mains plug if you notice that the kettle is not operating correctly.
• Do not pull on the power cord to remove the mains plug.
• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or work surface in order to prevent the appliance from
falling.
• Always remain vigilant when the appliance is on, and in particular be careful of the steam coming out of the
spout,
which is very hot.
• Also be careful as the stainless steel parts of the kettle become very hot during operation. Only touch the
handle of the kettle.
• Never touch the filter or the lid when the water is boiling.
• Do not open the lid when the water is boiling.
• Never move the kettle when it is in operation.
• Protect the kettle from humidity and frost.
• Do not use the kettle if the power cord or the plug is damaged. To avoid any danger, they must be replaced

• If your appliance has been damaged or if it is not working properly, do not use it and do not dismantle it. We
recommend that you have the appliance inspected. Any intervention to the appliance other than cleaning and
descaling according to the instructions for use must be performed by an authorised KRUPS service centre.
• The guarantee only covers manufacturing defects and domestic use. No breakages or damage resulting from
failure to follow the instructions are covered by the guarantee.
• Our guarantee does not cover kettles that do not work properly or do not work at all because they have not
been descaled.
• Unplug the appliance as soon as you have finished using it for a long period of time and when you clean it.
• Do not use scourers to clean the kettle.
• To remove the scale filter, remove the kettle from its base and leave it to cool down. Do not remove the filter
