Maintenance, cleaning, and repair
8.1
Maintenance
Maintenance should only be carried out by a qualified elec-
trician and must be in accordance with local regulations,
standards, and requirements.
8.2
Cleaning
DANGER
High voltages.
Danger of fatal electric shock. Never clean the
charge station with a high-pressure cleaner or
similar device.

Only clean the Ford Connected Charge Station with a
dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning agents, sol-
vents, fuel, or wax.
8.3
Repair
Unauthorized repair of the Ford Connected Charge Station is
not permitted. In case of failure, the entire unit must be re-
placed. Ford Motor Company Limited (Ford) reserves the ex-
clusive right to perform repairs to the charge station . The
only serviceable components are the design cover and the
charging cable. The charging cable must be installed by a
qualified electrician.
NOTICE
You can replace the charging cable a maximum
of four times over the lifetime of the charge sta-
tion.

Declaration of Conformity
Ford Motor Company Limited (Ford) hereby declares that
the radio equipment type "Ford Connected Charge Station"
conforms to UL2594 and to CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 280-16, No
281.1-12 and No. 281.2-12 applied for general use of power
supplies.
The Ford Connected Charge Station also conforms to the
following standards and regulations:
l UL2594
l FCC Part 15, Subpart B and C UL2231-1,2

l NEC Article 625 compliant
The Ford Connected Charge Station was developed, manu-
factured, tested, and supplied in accordance with the above-
mentioned standards and regulations, and in accor-dance
with the relevant standards for safety, electromag-netic
compatibility (EMC), and environmental compatibility. To

Warranty information
KEEP RECEIPT AS PROOF OF PURCHASE
WHAT IS COVERED
Your Ford Connected Charge Station includes a limited war-
ranty by Ford Motor Company Limited (Ford) (Ford Motor
Company of Canada, Limited for purchasers in Canada)
against original defects in materials and workmanship for a
period of three years from the date of purchase, when used
for normal domestic purposes in accordance with the Ford
Connected Charge Station User Guide, subject to What is
Not Covered and Warranty Limitations and Exclusions pro-
vided below. You must demonstrate proof of purchase and
please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. This war-
ranty provides, at no extra cost to you, labor and parts nec-
essary to ensure your Ford Connected Charge Station is in
proper operating condition during the limited warranty pe-
riod. The replacement of any part of your Ford Connected
Charge Station under the limited warranty will not extend
the period of the limited warranty. Any replaced defective
parts will become the property of Ford. Ford, at its discre-
tion, may repair or replace your Ford Connected Charge Sta-
tion. Repair parts and/or replacement product may be either
new or reconditioned at the discretion of Ford.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED

Ford shall not be liable for costs, damages, malfunction, or
repairs incurred as a result of, due to, or from abnormal oper-
ating conditions (including exposure to acid, chemical
fumes, metallic dust, or extreme temperatures), accident,
abuse, damage, disaster, misuse, unauthorized alteration, or
repair, improper connection with peripherals, electrical fault
or utility surge, installation by anyone other than a licensed
electrician, or if the Ford Connected Charge Station was not
operated or maintained in compliance with the Ford printed
operating instructions, including the Ford Connected Charge
Station User Guide.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
This limited warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty pro-
vided by Ford with respect to the Ford Connected Charge
Station and is in lieu of and excludes all other warranties,
express or implied, arising by operation of law or otherwise,
including without limitation, merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose, and whether or not Ford's products are
specifically designed and/or manufactured for your use or
purpose and all other express and implied warranties for the
Ford Connected Charge Station, including the warranties of
merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are
hereby disclaimed, where permitted by law. In no event, will
Ford or any of its authorized dealers be liable to you or any
third party for any damages in excess of the purchase price
of the Ford Connected Charge Station. This limitation ap-
plies to damages of any kind including any direct or indirect
damages, lost profits, lost savings, or other special, inciden-
tal, exemplary or consequential damages whether for
breach of contract, tort or otherwise, or whether arising out
of the ability or inability to use the Ford Connected Charge
Station. Some States or Provinces do not allow the exclu-
sion or limitation of damages, so the above limitation or ex-
clusion may not apply to you. This limited warranty does not
apply when the Ford Connected Charge Station is not in-
stalled by a licensed electrician. Any evidence of an attempt
to disassemble or reverse engineer the Ford Connected
Charge Station will void the limited warranty. This warranty
