o The appliance may not be used if it has fallen, is visi-
bly damaged or when it leaks water. To avoid haz-
ardous risks, all repairs, including the replacement of
the power cord, must be carried out by our customer
service or and an authorised electrician.
o Never iron clothes while they are being worn.
o Do not touch the metal parts, hot water or steam
during operation and the first few minutes after
switching off the appliance because of the risk of
burns.
o Before using the appliance for the first time, remove
any labels or protective films that might be on the
soleplate.
o Always uncoil the cable prior to use.
o Do not use sparkling mineral water (with added car-
bon dioxide). We recommend using decalcified wa-
ter if your water is particularly hard (refer to the
notes on page 16).
o Never set the hot iron down on the power cord or
connecting cable. Ensure that they do not come into
contact with the hot soleplate.
o Never remove the plug from the socket by pulling
the power cord.
o To clean the appliance, first pull the power cord plug
out of the socket, and wait until all parts have cooled
off. Subsequently clean the appliance using a soft,
