Intended purpose
The protect.Pro action is a lumbar
support. The product is exclusively to be
used for the orthotic fitting of the lower
back and only on intact skin.
Indications
• Lumbago
• Lumbosciatica
• Degenerative disk disease
• Discopathy
• Sciatica
Contraindications
None known at present.
Mode of action
Pro action stabilises and relieves the
lumbar spine area by compressing the
abdominal cavity and letting you
individually adjust the pressure using
the tensions bands. The statics of the
spine are improved which reduces pain.
Comment on Wear
In theory, the orthosis can be worn all
day long. However, the length of time
you wear it should depend on your
needs. Remove the orthosis during long
periods of rest (e.g. sitting down or
driving for a long time, sleep). If
excessive pains or an unpleasant feeling
occur during wearing, please remove the
product immediately and contact your
doctor or the stockist that supplied you.
The product is not permitted for the use
in direct contact with skin, it should only
be worn over a thin t-shirt or undershirt.

Fitting instructions

1. Before putting on the orthosis, please
loosen the straps so that it can be put
on without pulling. Wrap the orthosis
around your abdomen and make sure
it it positioned on the centre of your
back. (fig. 1)
2. Afterwards, place the left lock side on
your stomach and then pull the right
lock side far enough over the left side
that it is possible to fasten. (fig. 2+3)
3. Now, pull both tension bands forward
at the same time. (fig. 4) You can
adjust the tightness to suit your own
requirements and manage your pain
levels.
4. First, fasten the left tension band and
then the right. (fig. 5+6)
5. The orthosis is on properly when the
lower fastener edge is just above the
groin. (fig. 7)
Care instructions
Hook and loop fasteners should be
closed for washing. Soap residues,
lotions and ointments can cause skin
irritation and material wear. Do not
remove stains using benzene or
chemical detergents
• Wash the product by hand, preferably
using medi clean washing agent.
• Do not bleach.
• Leave to dry naturally.
• Do not iron.
• Do not dry clean.
    

Storage instructions

Keep the product in a cool, dry place and
do not expose to direct sunlight.
