f) Always keep hands and feet away from the cutting unit, especially when you switch on the
engine.
g) Treat the cutter that is used to cut the length of trimming line with care – you could injure
yourself with it. After you've pulled out a new thread always keep the machine in its normal
working position before switching it on.
h) Never use anything other than the correct nylon cutting line.
i) Never use spare parts and accessories not provided or recommended by the manufacturer.
j) Make sure that any ventilation holes are free from dirt. If required, use a vacuum to clear
obstructions.
k) Kickback
- Never use the trimmer in the blade angle between 12-and-2 o'clock.
- Never use such a blade angle for cutting solid materials such as bushes, roots etc whose diameter
is greater than 3cm, because the trimmer could then be violently projected to the side and may
cause injury.
- This uncontrolled kickback of the blade is more likely to occur when the user cannot see the
material being cut.
- This uncontrolled kickback can cause serious injury or even death, to the user or other people or
animals. Always keep people and animals at least 15m away from the machine
l) Switch off the tool when transporting to and from the area to be worked on or between two
working areas.
m) Protect yourself against injury hazard resulting from accidental contact with the Nylon line
trimming blade.
n) After refilling the spool, pull the line with your hands, and then always turn the tool to its normal
operation position before switching on.
o) Do not press with your hand on the spool to feed the line, as the spool may be hot.
p) Remove any grass or debris from the spool before refilling the line or changing the spool.
(D) Special warnings when using the product
1. Become familiar with the controls and the proper use of the tool.
Learn how to stop the tool quickly in an emergency.
2. The use of this product is forbidden to children. Individuals below the age of 16 and individuals
who are not perfectly familiar with the instructions, are not allowed to operate the machine
3. Only well-instructed adults should operate the product. This product is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use

4. Within the working area, the person using the machine is responsible for any damage or injury
sustained by third parties or their property which has been caused by the machine. Watch your
working area and do not allow third persons or animals to be around.
5. When operating the machine take great care and always hold it firmly with both hands.
Make sure you are in a stable and secure balanced position. The power tool is guided more securely
with both hands. Wait until the machine has come to a standstill before placing it down.
6. Make yourself familiar with your working area and be alert for possible hazards, which you
might not hear due to the motor noise.
7. Remain aware and remain cautious about foreign objects like wire fences, roots, debris... which
may damage the cutting device. Thoroughly inspect the working area where the machine is to be
used and remove all wires and any other foreign objects likely to pose a hazard.
An uncontrolled kickback of the blade may occur when using the brush
cutter.
- This kickback phenomenon occurs in particular when performing cuts in
the critical angle of the blade, i.e. the angle between 12-and-2 O'clock.
