4.3.2 Second monitor or TV set
For parallel surveillance by a second person, a
second monitor or a TV set can be connected to the
AV-200LCD.
1) Connect the video input of the second monitor to
the jack "video" (7) and, if required, the audio input
to the jack "audio" (11).
2) Set the switch "AV" (17) to position "out".
3) Adjust the video output level with the control
"Videolevel" (5) between 0.5 Vpp and 1.5 Vpp
according to the requirements. Usually a level of
1 Vpp is required. For this purpose, set the control
to mid-position.
4) Instead of a monitor, also a TV set can be connect-
ed. If the TV set is not provided with audio and
video inputs, the AV-200LCD can be connected to
the antenna jack of the TV set via a RF modulator
(e. g. MONACOR VAM-3).

4.3.3 Video recorder

For video and audio recordings, a video recorder can
be connected.
1) For recording, connect the video input of the video
recorder to the jack "video" (7) and the audio input
to the jack "audio" (11). Set the switch "AV" (17) to
position "out".
2) Adjust the video output level with the control
"Videolevel" (5) between 0.5 Vpp and 1.5 Vpp as
required. Usually a level of 1 Vpp is required. For
this purpose, set the control to mid-position.
3) For replay of the recording, connect the video out-
put of the video recorder to the jack "video" and the
audio output to the jack "audio". Set the switch
"AV" to position "in".
4.3.4 Cable-connected camera
For viewing the picture of a cable-connected camera,
connect the video output of the camera to the jack
"video" (7) and, if required, the audio output to the
jack "audio". Set the switch "AV" (17) to position "in".
4.3.5 Signal device or another additional unit
If the transmitter used is provided with a control chan-
nel, an optical or acoustic signal device connected to
the monitor or another additional unit (e. g. video
recorder for automatic start of a recording) can be
activated via this channel. The connection is made via
the jack "switch" (12) and is shown in fig. 3. R1 is the
symbol for the unit to be connected.
If a current exceeding 80 mA is required for trigger-
ing, insert a relay or a switching amplifier. When
connecting an inductive load (e. g relay), the protec-
tive diode D1 must be connected in parallel to it in
reverse direction!
4.3.6 Headphones
Headphones (minimum impedance 2 x 8 Ω) with a
3.5 mm stereo plug can be connected to the jack
"phones" (14). The built-in speaker (4) is then
switched off.
