To use programmer Art. 1251/A on bracket Art. 5714 and
Art. 5714/I, refer to what is stated for Art. 4714W/2 and
Art. 4714W/2I in the MT SB2 02 technical manual, except for the
following paragraphs given below.
CHECKING VERSION OF SOFTWARE ART. 1251/A
Programming brackets Art. 5714 and Art. 5714/I is possible by using
programmer Art. 1251/A fitted with software version 1.1 or later.
Proceed as described below to check the software version of
programmer Art. 1251/A.
On the main screen, press the key

CONNECTION BETWEEN PROGRAMMER
AND DEVICE TO BE CONFIGURED
To programme an article, it is necessary to connect the
programmer to the article by means of the small programming
cable provided with the programmer.
The programmer is fitted with auto-recognition of the article which
has been connected and therefore only enables the functions
which can be programmed of that device.

ONNECTION OF THE PROGRAMMER TO
Procedere come segue:
1. Open the telephone and make sure that it is disconnected from
the system.
2. Turn on the hand-held programmer 1251/A with the small
programming cable connected to the programmer.

3. Connect the other end of the small programming cable to the
special polarised connector on the bracket as shown in figure 3.
4. When the connection is made the following message is
displayed:
"Article 5714 Connection OK!"
automatically enter the menu relative to the functions of that
article which can be set. If the article has not been recognised,
no message will be displayed.
A failed connection will be sufficient to changeover the
ON/OFF switch turning the programmer off and then on again
to restart automatic recognition of the article.
