- Porthole gasket replacement
Always work with the machine off and cold.
Check: Annually or every 1000 cycles.
Operation:
- Open the door of the steriliser
- Manually remove the lip gasket, grabbing the lip with two fingers (pay attention as to
how the gasket lip is assembled).
- Clean the gasket compartment using a cloth dampened with alcohol or a cotton bud.
- Dampen the new gasket with water or alcohol.
- Insert the new gasket in the compartment with the lip turned outwards; distribute the
gasket evenly on the circumference and with your finger evenly press on the entire
perimeter of the gasket.
- When the procedure is complete, check there are no badly inserted points or the gasket is
not protruding. If the gasket is protruding, remove the gasket and insert again.
Correctly position the gasket to avoid leaks. The gasket must be inserted over
the entire circumference without bulges or deformations.

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE

After 1000 cycles or a year after installing the autoclave.
On reaching cycle no. 1000 a memo appears to carry out maintenance. Maintenance
includes: replacement, cleaning and checking the parts, as indicated in the relevant table.
Annual maintenance can only be carried out by a FARO qualified technician and a member
of the FARO Technical Support Service network.
Intervention includes the following:
Replacing:
- Porthole gasket
- Bacterial or Bio X filter
- Filter in chamber
- Water filter
- Replace vacuum pump membrane kit (if necessary)
Check:
- Check the door safety closure system
- Check the porthole door adjustment
- Check and clean the water filling and discharge tank
- Check the hydraulic connections
- Check the electrical connections
- Check calibrated pressure and temperature with SW
- Check the vacuum pump is working properly.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
Check:
- CSafety valve
- Electrical dispersion
When the qualified technician has finished, a certificate is issued to state annual
maintenance of the autoclave took place.
To ensure the guarantee of the device is valid, comply with the intervals specified
or indicated in this manual and in the additional sheets and only use ORIGINAL
SPARE PARTS.
