11.1 List of alarms
When there is a fault condition the MDCU sends the corresponding alarm. These alarms conform to the AISG standard:

When does this alarm occur in our RET ?
•
The transparent tube of the tilt bar has detached
itself during a motor movement
•
The maximum time to perform the tilt command (set
tilt, calibration) is elapsed (1min30 max), while the
targeted tilt setting has not been achieved.
•
The MUX board (multi-motor) inside the antenna is
faulty. This board cannot be removed.
•
The motor or associated components are faulty (open
circuit or short circuit, bad potentiometer, etc.)
•
Motor runs in the reverse direction
•
The transparent tube of the tilt bar has detached
before a motor movement
•
The motor cannot step
•
A time consuming command (e.g. Calibration, Set Tilt)
is in progress
•
During a download, the checksum of a line of the file
being downloaded is bad.
What can you do ?
•
Check whether the transparent tube is in place
•
Check whether something prevents the tilt bar
from moving – obstruction
•
Swap the RET/MDCU
•
Change the antenna
•
Check whether the transparent tube is in place

Swap the RET/MDCU
•
Change the antenna
•
Wait until the command is complete.
•
If the problem persists longer than 3 minutes and
no command is in progress, do a hard reset
(disconnect the AISG cable, reset the BTS, etc.)

Swap the RET/MDCU
•
Request the latest version of firmware.
