9 Installation of MDCU in antenna

- Open the MDCU housing by unscrewing the cover plate from its housing. This plate will not
be used for further installation. (Replace the cover plate if the MDCU is removed)
- Place the MDCU in front of the MDCU slot of the antenna and insert it into the antenna. A
mechanical coding system prevents the MDCU from being inserted incorrectly. Use the
position of the connectors as shown in the pictures to determine the direction of the
module.
- The module must enter freely. If it is hard to insert, do not force it but try the other way
around. When the module is almost fully inserted into the housing, apply a slightly firmer
push to engage it in the connector.
- When you have inserted the MDCU module, tighten the captive screws to a torque setting
of 2 N∙m (Newton-metre).
