»
Transportation of YGE PV modules shall happen in the supplied boxes.
Protect the boxes/pallets against moving during transportation.
»
Keep moisture away from the boxes.
»
DANGER OF BEING CRUSHED!
Secure modules against falling.
4.2 uNPaCKING
»
Lift the top lid of the carton boxes.
»
Remove single PV modules from the box by moving them up.
»
Secure the remaining modules in the box against toppling over.

»
Mounting structures and other mechanical parts must be designed and approved for the maximum applicable loads from
snow and wind. Make sure the PV system is not subjected to mechanical loads beyond the specified load.
»
Avoid corrosion through different metal materials (electrochemical corrosion).
»
YGE PV modules can be mounted in landscape and portrait position.
»
The minimum tilt angle of the PV modules should be 10 degrees to allow proper self-cleaning from rain.
»
YGE PV modules shall not be subjected to forces from the substructure. Keep in mind thermal expansions.
»
To allow for proper cooling of the modules the distance between module front surface and the roof surface shall be 10 cm
minimum. Install the modules with a distance of > 1 cm between the frames to avoid tension from thermal deformations.
»
Do not modify the mounting holes in the frame rails. Do not drill additional holes.
»
YGE allows 2 different mounting methods:
» Method A:
For the modules which have 4 mounting holes, modules shall be mounted using 4 holes located on the rear side
of the long frame parts, using four M6 stainless steel bolts per PV module, with nuts, washers (see drawing in
the SUPPLEMENT).
For the modules which have 8 mounting holes, modules shall be mounted using 8 holes located on the rear side
of the long frame parts, using eight M6 stainless steel bolts per PV module, with nuts, washers (see drawing in
the SUPPLEMENT).
» Method B:
Modules shall be fastened using 4 clamps applied to the top side of the long frame parts. A clamp holds
2 modules except for the module at the beginning and end of a module row. The centreline of the clamps should
be in line with the mounting hole positions. The user supplied clamps, bolts, nuts and washers as well as the
fastening torque must be approved in writing by YGE prior to installation. Do not apply excessive pressure on
the frame (see drawing in the SUPPLEMENT).
