Bread Maker
The bread does not rise.
Fresh yeast has been used.
Dry yeast is easier to handle and
does not have to be mixed in first.
Insufficient amount of yeast has been
used.
Check the amount stated in the reci-
pe and measure it out precisely.
The yeast is too old.
Check the best-before date.
The ingredients were not added to the
baking tin in the correct order.
The yeast should not come into con-
tact with the salt too early.
Too much salt and too little sugar has
been used.
Check the figures in the recipe and
weigh / measure out the ingredients
precisely.
The flour was not suitable for baking
bread.
Check the details on the pack and
use a different flour if necessary.
The quality of the flour used is not ac-
ceptable anymore. The characteristics of
the flour can deteriorate due to incorrect
storage (moisture, temperature, stored
for too long).
