MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar with European facing to 94/20/EC Class A50-1
B 1 N/S Sidearm
C 1 O/S Sidearm
D 2 Captive Nut Strap
E 2 Spreader Plate
CB 2 M16 x 50 Coupling Bolts, Lock Washers and Nuts
F 4 M12 x 40 Bolts, Lock Washers and Ø40 Flat Washers
G 4 M12 x 40 Bolts, Ø25 Washers and Nyloc Nuts
H 1 Neoprene strip
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
Remove bumper - 7 nuts (3 nearside, 4 offside – uppermost hidden behind bung) securing crash beam, 2 Torx screws in

each arch. Unclip bumper tips and pull rearwards.
Remove crash beam from inside bumper skin – 2 Torx screws.

3. Insert captive nut straps (D) into chassis rail, followed by sidearms (B) and (C) and loosely attach using bolts (F) through
spreader plate (E).
4. Cut Neoprene Strip (H) into three and attach to crossbar to provide support for bumper.
Loosely attach crossbar (A) to sidearms using bolts (G) and tighten bolts (F) to torque as shown below.

Reattach bumper noting the reinforcing fillets on inside – these may need to be removed. Finally push crossbar upwards

to support bumper before fully tightening bolts (G) to torque.
Note:
This Towball must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or a Towball conforming to A50-1 classification.
Please refer to the specification for trailer weight and nose load limits which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts M12 - 95 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
