MATERIALS:
A 1 Cross Bar
B 1 Sidearm left
C 1 Sidearm right
D 1 Exhaust Bracket left
E 1 Exhaust Bracket right
F 4 M12 x 40mm x 1.25mm Bolt (Grade 10.9), 2x Large Flat Washers (40od.), Flat Washer and Lock Washer
G 4 M12 x 35mm x 1.75mm Bolt and Nyloc Nut
ZE 1 Retractable Electrical Plate
ZN 1 Neck Kit (Detachable shown)
FITTING:
1. (Saloon only: Remove rear boot trim first.) Remove the rear light clusters: remove three nuts and unclip wiring from boot
side. Remove the bumper fixings revealed beneath.
2. Remove the rear bumper: Remove the fixings under plastic grommets at boot opening left and right, the fixings along
the lower edge of the bumper and fixings on each wheel arch. Remove the bumper starting at the bumper tips. Unclip
any wiring attached.
3. Lower the exhaust silencers and support to prevent any damage.
4. Remove the bumper beam and hand back to the customer. Apply anti-corrosion paint to where the bumper beam has
been removed, then use the fixings removed to attach the exhaust brackets (D & E) to the rear panel.
5. Locate the mounting points on the outside face of each chassis rail and remove the sealing tape or mastic.
6. Loosely attach the Sidearms (B & C) to the outer face of each chassis rail using fixings (F). Note: Ensure the use of the
fine pitch bolts & note the position of the large washers to be placed between the Sidearm and the chassis face.
7. Loosely attach Crossbar (A) to Sidearms (B & C) using fixings (G).
8. Align the bar then fully tighten all fasteners to their correct torque setting.
9. Assemble the chosen Neck Kit (ZN) and Retractable Electrical Plate (ZE) to Cross Bar (A) using separate instructions.
10. Cut the bumper using the diagram below as a guide and refit re-attaching any wiring previously removed.
Recommended torque settings:
Grade 8.8 bolts: M10 - 52 Nm / M12 - 90 Nm
Grade 10.9 bolts: M10 - 70 Nm / M12 - 120 Nm
