1 DESCRIPTION

The UNITEST comprises a measuring head with a
movable measuring point, standard extensions and
a fixed measuring point. The displacement of the
movable measuring point caused by dimensional
differences is transmitted in a shockproof manner
to a dial indicator.
The transmitting system and the standard end mea-
suring rods of the extensions are freely supported

2 MEASURING HEAD

The most important part of the UNITEST is the
measuring head, which comprises a dial indicator,
a micrometer part, the movable and the fixed point.
The dial indicator, range ± 0.008" (± 0 .2 mm), the

3 EXTENSIONS

Each extension comprises a standard end measu-
ring rod, supported in a protection tube. The end
measuring rods have one flat and one spherical
measuring face and they are supported in twin bea-
rings.
The extensions are screwed together by means of a
knurled nut at one end of the extension and which
is screwed to the measuring head or the opposite

in a protecting tube and by means of strings they
are held in position without play in the axis of the
instrument.
The micrometer spindle and the setting thimble are
a single unit.
By using a supplementary device, which can be
supplied on request, the instrument can also be
used for measuring large external dimensions.

thimble (with the TESAMASTER direct reading fea-
ture) are a single unit. The measuring range of the
micrometer is 1" (25 mm).

responding groove in the opposite end of another
extension or of the measuring head.
When screwing together extensions make sur also
that the measuring faces of the end measuring rods
and the joining faces of the protection tubes are
perfectly clean.
