PowerPlant INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PowerPlant Mounting
• Choose a mounting location that is strong enough
to withstand the loads you intend to winch.
• The PowerPlant HD in particular, requires a
mounting system that is certified for a 12,000 lb.
winch pull.
• Only the mounting orientation shown is possible
for safe winching operation. All others are
improper and inappropriate.
• The wire rope must always spool onto the drum
as indicated by the drum rotation symbols on the
warnings decal.
• The use of recommended bolt and lock washer
combinations torqued to recommended levels will
prevent vibration during operation.
WA R N I N G
To avoid serious injury or death
from electrical fire:
• Never route electrical cables:
-Across any sharp edges.
-Through or near moving parts.
-Near parts that become hot.
• Always insulate and protect all
exposed wiring and electrical
terminals.
Electrical Connections
• Route battery connection cables in areas which
will not cause them to chafe or cut through the
insulation causing a potential short circuit.
• Upon completion of installation, check winch for
proper operation.
Air Intake Hose & Filter
Place the small hose clamp onto the black air intake
hose. From the back side of the unit, locate the hose
fitting on the compressor head and push the hose
on. Tighten clamp securely. Route the air intake hose
thru the vehicle grille or bumper openings into the
engine compartment. Install the filter onto the end of
the hose and mount it up as high as possible. Use
the supplied tie wraps or other means to secure the
hose and filter.
