Incorrectly clamped workpieces can detach and pose a danger to persons
and surroundings.
Correct
Caution: The clamping surfaces of the workpieces must be burr-free.
The top jaws are secured using bolts with strength class 12.9.
Caution: No longer or shorter bolts must be used → otherwise there is a
risk of damage.
6.2
Releasing
Turning the hand crank anti-clockwise opens the vice.
▶
It must be ensured that the torque coupling engages.
If it does not, hold the spindle radially and rotate the hand crank
▶
anti-clockwise until the torque coupling engages.
If the torque coupling is disengaged, no high-pressure clamping will
take place during the next clamping process.
6.3
Working with the angled gear drive (accessory)
Gear ratio of the angled gear drive: 1.7 : 1; this means that approx. 3 to
▶
4 instead of 2 crank revolutions are required to achieve max. clamping
force.
To mount the angled gear drive, the movable jaw must be fully retracted
▶
in order to avoid alignment errors and thus jamming of the spindle.
