• You should only use the device for the applications described in this manual. Damage caused by unauthorised
use will automatically void the warranty and may lead to electroshocks, burns or short circuits.
• Connecting devices : put the power switch in the OFF position. Make sure the devices in question are also OFF.
Place the master control in the minimum position.
Remember to consult a qualified technician if necessary.
4. Installation and Operation
Make sure all faders are placed in their minimum positions ("0"). Connect the stereo outputs to the power amplifier
and/or tape decks. Plug the device into an AC power source.
Note : Use shielded low-capacitance stereo cables for the RCA connections. The quality of the cables is essential for
high-quality sound reproduction.
5. Front Panel Description (see figure on page 3)
1. DJ/MIC input
Microphones can be plugged into the XLR 3-pin connectors and combo jack connectors. Connect your gooseneck
microphone (e.g. VDLGL2) to the XLR input.
2. DJ tone control
These two rotary controls adjust the high and low frequencies of the DJ signal (±12dB).
3. DJ channel level control
This slide control enables the user to adjust the output level of DJ WAY.
4. Headphone Jack
Used to plug in the headphones.
5. Short course crossfader
This linear slide control is used for the mix between channels A & B. The crossfader can be removed easily and
quickly.
6. Input selectors
Used to select the input signal. You can choose between stereo PHONO and CD or MIC and LINE.
7. Rotary control for high and low
These two rotary controls are used to adjust the high and low frequencies of channel C (±12dB).
8. CUE ON/OFF
Cue ON/OFF selector for channel C.
9. Rotary gain control
Adjusts the level of the input signal and harmonises the level of all the inputs.
10. Rotary tone controls (high/mid/low)
These are used to adjust the frequency response of each channel. They correct the signal (for the high/mid/low
frequencies respectively) in a range from +12dB to kill.
11. CUE ON/OFF
Cue ON/OFF selector for channels A & B.
12. Channel level controls
These slide controls enable the user to adjust the input per channel in order to obtain the desired volume for
each channel.
13. Frequency kill switch (hi-mid-low)
There are two ways of killing frequencies. You can use the low, mid and high kill switches (13) or the low, mid
and high rotary controls (10). When the selected kill switch is activated, the LED will light and the frequency will
be killed. You can also use the rotary controls to boost the frequencies by a max. of 12dB. The normal setting
for the rotary controls is zero.
