1. Introduction
Thank you for buying the PROMIX40 ! Read the manual carefully before bringing the device into service.
2. Safety Instructions
• Do not touch the wires ! Touching the wires may result in a dangerous electroshock.
• The manufacturer is not liable for defects or problems caused by the user's disregard of the manual's stipulations.
• Keep this device clear of heating devices.
• Do not switch the device on immediately if it has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuations. Leave it off
until it has reached room temperature.
• Put the power switch in the OFF position before you connect the device to the mains.
• Do not place beverages near or on top of the device. Disconnect the device from the mains as soon as possible if
a liquid has penetrated the housing. Have the device checked by a qualified technician before using it again.
Damages caused by a liquid penetrating the housing are not covered by the warranty.
• The device falls under protection class II and features protective insulation.
• Never let the power cord come into contact with other cables.
• The available voltage should not exceed the voltage indicated on the AC voltage selector.
• The power cord should never be crimped or damaged by sharp edges. Check the device and the power cord from
time to time.
• Disconnect the device from the mains when not in use or when you are cleaning it.
• Only handle the power cord by the plug. Do NOT pull out the plug by tugging the cord itself.
• Place all faders and volume controls in their minimum position ("0") before activating the device.
• Keep the device clear of children and amateurs.
• Turn the amplifier on last and off first.
• An excessive volume can cause hearing damage.
• There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Consult an authorised dealer for maintenance and repairs.
3. General Characteristics
• This device is a professional mixing panel, allowing you to mix audio signals from different music sources. The
operating current is 15V, 50/60Hz and the device should only be used indoors.
• Always use the included power supply. The power supply falls under protection class II and the mixing table under
protection class III.
• Do not shake the device and avoid brute force when installing or operating the mixing panel.
• Select a location where the device will not be exposed to water or moisture, excessive heat or dust. Do not leave
any cables lying around.
• Do not use the device under extreme temperatures (> 30°C, < 5°C).
• Keep the device away from heaters.
• Familiarise yourself with the operation of the device before bringing it into service and do not allow operation by
unqualified individuals. Damage is usually caused by unprofessional operation of the device.
• Do not use spray cleaners to clean the faders and do not clean the device with abrasives or solvents. Use a clean
and damp cloth instead.
• Use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.
• Do not attempt to make adjustments or execute repairs. Consult a qualified technician instead.
• Removing the barcode will void the warranty.
• Use only high-quality cables in order to obtain the highest sound quality.
