6.4. AC-MSI-CFG1 (data memory module)
The MSI 100 programmable safety controller comes with a pluggable data
memory module called the AC-MSI-CFG1.
AC-MSI-CFG1 as a hardkey
Once the configuration of MSIsafesoft is downloaded in the MSI 100
safety controller, the configuration is stored in the AC-MSI-CFG1.
If the AC-MSI-CFG1 data memory module is removed during
normal operation, the controller will switch to the safe state.
All outputs are disabled.
A configuration can also be loaded to the MSI 100 prgrammable safety
controller using the AC-MSI-CFG1 data memory module.
For additional information, please refer to the user manual.
6.5. CONFIRM button
Confirming the new configuration
The CONFIRM button is located at the front of the device on the right-hand
side, above the USB interface.
• Press the CONFIRM button using a pointed object (e.g., a pencil) to confirm
a configuration which has just been loaded. The controller cannot accept
the configuration until this has been done.
For additional information, please refer to the user manual.
Replacing the AC-MSI-CFG1 data memory module
The button also has an important role to play when the AC-MSI-CFG1 data memory module is being
replaced.
• If you want to copy a configuration to a new MSI 100 safety controller via the AC-MSI-CFG1, insert the
memory referred to above into the new module.
• Then press the CONFIRM button if this is indicated by the CFG LED flashing.
It is also possible to configure a previously configured MSI 100 using a program on an
AC-MSI-CFG1 data memory module.
For details of this procedure, please refer to the user manual.
