Putting into operation
If you want to operate your D4 Office without MEM card, you, the system
administrator of the telephone system or the service staff now must log on
your handset to your telephone system.
Exception: You are using a MEM card with log-in information from a D3,
FC1, FC4 or IH4 handset with your D4 Office. If so, take note of the section
below „Information about using the MEM-Cards of the handset types D3,
FC1, FC4 or IH4" on page 98.
Now your handset is ready for operation.
If your business handset comes completely assembled
If your handset comes completely assembled and has been logged into your
telephone system, you only need to connect the charger and its plug-in power
supply unit.
Information about using the MEM-Cards
of the handset types D3, FC1, FC4 or IH4
All D3, FC1, FC4 or IH4 handsets need their MEM card for beeing enroled and
registered to a compatible private telephone system. So, the use of these
MEM cards is similar to the use of SIM cards of mobile phones.
After a D3, FC1, FC4 or IH4 handset once has been enroled and registered
successfully to a telephone system by the system administrator, the corres-
ponding MEM card keeps the following information:
All necessary data for log-in and operation with this telephone system
As a rule an empty telephone book, which may be filled with telphone
book entries either manually or using a special tool for managing the phone
book or for configuring the handset.
If you wish to replace any D3, FC1, FC4 or IH4 handset using a D4 Office,
proceed as follows, please ...
Insert the MEM card ...
Switch off the D4 Office and remove the rechargeable battery pack.
Slide the corresponding edge of the MEM card obliquely under the holding
