D4 Office
All entries of the telephone book which have been copied from the D3 or
FC1 MEM card into the memory of the D4 Office remain available even
after the D3 or FC1 MEM card has been removed from the D4 Office.
Operation with a MEM Card from a handset type FC4 or IH4
In this operation mode the D4 Office is equipped with a MEM card from
a DECT™ handset type FC4 or IH4.
The D4 Office exclusively uses the log-on information, settings and tele-
phone book entries which are filed on the FC4 or IH4 MEM card.
During this operation mode the user will be able to modify and to add te-
lephone book entries as well as to log on the D4 Office to further sys-
tem-compatible telecommunications systems. These modifications, add-
ons and new log-on information are also filed on the FC4 or IH4 MEM
card.
All registrations of a D4 Office into telecommunications systems which
have been carried out in the past without any MEM card (see operation
mode without a MEM card) neither are visible nor accessible during
operation with a MEM Card from a handset type FC4 or IH4. These
registrations are available after having removed the FC4 or IH4 MEM
card from the D4 Office again.

If your business handset has not yet been assembled

If your handset comes partly unassembled, you have to carry out the following
steps prior to start operation:
If your D4 Office shall replace a DECT™ handset D3, FC1, FC4 or IH4
which already has been logged on (enroled) to a compatible telecommu-
nications system in the past you have to insert the appropriate D3, FC1,
FC4 or IH4 MEM card into your D4 Office in order to provide the neces-
sary log-on information.
If you do not insert any MEM card into your D4 Office your handset will
work in the „operation mode without MEM Card".
Install the rechargeable battery
Remove the protective film from the display
Install and connect the charger and its plug-in power supply unit.
