5. In the Device Info page, enter a Device Name to represent the
device in the UI. If you previously defined display groups, select the
Display Group to which to add the device from the drop-down menu.
6. Select the Time Zone where the device will be physically located:
Note: If you have a Barracuda Cloud or AWS subscription, the Encryption page
displays Select from the available options as described in step 8, otherwise,
continue with step 9 to complete your activation.
7. Enter the geographical location of the device, select whether
to Automatically update device firmware after activation, and
click Continue.
8. In the Encryption page, select how to encrypt your data:
• Barracuda Management Encryption (Recommended) – Your data
is encrypted using keys managed by Barracuda. This provides a
high levwel of security and ensures that Barracuda can access
your data in order to help with data recovery and management.
• Private Encryption – Once you configure your passphrase,
Barracuda will be unable to access your data or assist in data
recovery. You are prompted to set up a passphrase that will be
used to secure your encryption keys, and you will need to enter
this passphrase when performing certain operations that access
your data.
9. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions, and click Done. Once your
device is linked, click Go to Dashboard.

Physically Install

1. Fasten the appliance to a 19-inch rack or place in a stable location.
2. Connect an Ethernet cable from your network switch to the Ethernet
port on the back panel of the appliance; connect any additional
cables as necessary.
