Replacement Device: If you are installing a replacement device, see Barracuda
Campus for migration options:
Barracuda recommends reading these instructions fully before
starting to install. To install and configure, you need the following:
• Barracuda Backup appliance, AC Power Cord (included)
• Serial number and linking code (on back of this guide)
• Connectivity and access information for servers to back up
• VGA Monitor (recommended)
• USB Keyboard (recommended)
Optionally, PS2 keyboard input is available on models 190-490
• For Ethernet models, an Ethernet connection is required*
• For LC Fiber models, an LC SFP or SFP+ connection is required*

Activate a Barracuda Backup Device
Barracuda MSP Customers: Contact Barracuda MSP before proceeding.
1. Log into https://login.barracuda.com. If you do not have an account,
click Create a User, follow the account creation instructions, and
log in.
2. Click Backup in the left pane, and go to Admin > Activate
Barracuda Backup.
3. Enter the Serial Number and Linking Code from the sticker on the
back of this guide, and click Next.
4. The wizard launches. In the Your Info page, enter your contact
information, and click Continue.
