VEHICLE LOAD

Your motorcycle is designed for use by the rider
and it can also seat a passenger.
To use the vehicle in complete safety and in

accordance with the Highway Code provisions, it
is compulsory that the following maximum load
conditions are never exceeded:

Maximum technically admissible mass:
417 kg
Maximum transportable mass:
189 kg
The maximum technically admissible mass repre-
sents the sum of the following masses:
• mass of the motorcycle in running order;
• mass of the driver;
• mass of the passenger;
• mass of the luggage and of the accessories.

Since the load can strongly affect hand-
ling, braking, performance and safety

characteristics of your motorcycle, you
should always keep in mind the fol-
lowing warnings.
• NEVER OVERLOAD YOUR MOTORCY-
CLE! Driving an overloaded motorcycle
can cause damage to the tyres, loss of
control of the vehicle and serious
injury. Verify that the total weight (inclu-
ding the weight of the motorcycle, the
driver, the passenger, the load and all
the accessories) does not exceed the
maximum load value specified for your
vehicle.
• When you ride with a passenger
onboard, pay special attention during
driving in order to avoid possible con-
tacts between the lower parts of the
bike and the ground, thus avoiding
losing control of the vehicle and the
subsequent risk of accidents.
• About the correct load and use of the
side cases, refer to the prescriptions
reported at §4.8. and §4.9.
