influence safety.

2. Functional description

The DDS76 differential pressure switch actuates the
reverse rinsing operation by comparing the pressures
before and after the filter mesh. If the differential pres-
sure rises above the set value, then the automatic
reverse rinsing actuator is operated via its volt-free
contacts.

6. Assembly
6.1 Installations Guidelines
• The installation site has to be frost-proof and the
protection of the device from chemicals, paints,
detergents, solvents and their vapours and environ-
mental influences must be guaranteed.
6.2 Fitting to the filter
1. Close shutoff valve on inlet
2. Release pressure on outlet side (e.g. through water
tap)
3. Close shutoff valve on outlet
4. Remove the brass plug and the pressure gauge
from the filter
5. Screw both nipples into threaded tappings on F76S
or tappings on the housing of F76S-F using the
hexagonal key supplied
6. Fit the differential pressure switch to nipple and
tighten both backnuts
o In doing this the arrows on the differential pres-
sure switch and filter housing must point in the
same direction
7. Reseal the pressure gauge into the threaded
tapping on the differential pressure switch
8. Slowly open shutoff valve on inlet
9. Slowly open shutoff valve on outlet
10. Check the seal between differential pressure
switch and filter housing
o If necessary tighten nipple or backnuts
